HELP Please: Fuel Pump Problem, I think??
I replaced it with a 1996 engine. Everything is bolted up and now it wont start. I am thinking that it is not getting any fuel.
I cannot hear the pump running, so maybe it is a relay or a problem with the pump.
I checked it with AutoTap and no codes are being thrown.
Does anyone know where the Pump Relay is? Or Fuse? or What could be wrong? Or how to trouble shoot? Thanks
EMA
The easiest way to check if you have a faulty relay is to wire 12V directly to the fuel pump via an external power supply, and see if its working. If it works, then you can test the relay.
BTW, how do you halt a runaway diesel before it blows? With a manual trans you could probably dump the clutch in 5th gear with the brakes on, but how about an auto trans?
