Diesel soot on interior of car...esp back seat area
Any CDI drivers use the back seat infrequently?
Hardly ever use my back seat as family outings usually involve an SUV for convienience.
So, when I wipe down my back seats and door panels (usually use Meguire's leather wipes) the cloth turns diesel soot black.
I have the Ash interior, and I even notice black rub marks where the seat belts rub the upholstery.
Starting to notice a little staining of the headliner.
Have been noticing this since new so I can rule out my Carlsson C-tronic box which definitely throws more coals on the fire when power is called up.
I do have a habit of letting the car idle a lot in the garage for warm up, and I try to remember to use recirculate or no climate control during idle unless its hot out and A/C needs to be frosty.

Interesting. We idle the car in the garage also for a couple of minutes but have never noticed the leather being "sooty" when we clean it. No one ever sits in our back seat either. Maybe you may have a door seal issue.
