ML 320CDI Maintenance
Anyone have a source for the oil filter used on the 320cdi other than a dealer?
Getting ready to change the oil for the first time. Had to special order the oil from the Mobil distributer. $26 per gallon in quarts. Have not seen it in normal retail outlets. Mobil salesman said this is specially formulated for the Mercedes diesel. Thats the reason for the Formula M.

Yep, the Mobil 1 5W-40 ESP is especially for the new CDIs. As for the oil filter, it's made of fleece. You may be able to get it online, but I find it's usually cheaper to get small parts like oil filters from the dealer.

My 2006 E320 CDi uses 0W-40 synthetics and I have to special order mine too. When it is out of warranty I shall try the Mobil Delvec. All the diesel enthusiasts rave on this stuff.
