trick for CDIs, quicker exit out of a corner

Interesting trick from Mercedes Enthusiast, Feb 07, on getting the most out of the automatic tranny on the twisty backroads & track. The timing of when to use the Touchshift is key. Many of you may have already known this. I didn't... I had been applying this incorrectly as I'm coming OUT of the corner, ie. too late.

"Approaching a corner you simply hold the Touchshift gear lever to the left AS YOU BRAKE, releasing it as you turn in and letting the gearbox select the best gear to exit with. It's quicker and more effective than going down the gears sequentially and means the engine is on boost (> 1600rpms) and ready to give its best as soon as you can see the exit and get on the power, rather than waiting for the turbo to spool up and the gearbox to kickdown."
