compression leak around prechamber in 602 engine
My 92 300D 2.5 has again developed a compression leak around #1 prechamber. Symptoms include a pinging noise and a palpable pulse of air on the hand when a hand is held above #1 injector.
Ten months ago I removed the #1 prechamber and replaced it with a new one (about $100). The old had no visible faults, but I replaced it anyway. Problem solved until it reappeared last week suddenly.
Anyone have a suggestion or similar experience?
