injector pump rebuild
Darn, I still can't get this thing started...I've been trying to deny it, but I have to admit, it's probably the injector pump...
Any idea how much a new one costs? for a '97 E300diesel
i saw one used on ebay for about $500.
Can anyone recommend a good rebuilder? I'd be willing to remove the old one and ship it off to get it refurbished.
Thanks, folks

Out Of Control!!
Well I think that you are about to throw out the baby with he bath water.
Once again if you had injector pump problems you would see a CEL. Plus you would have encountered all sorts of fuel issues that you have not expressed. Forget it
You need to go back and make sure all your low pressure fuel lines are not leaking fuel and that the seals are not allowing air to enter the low pressure fuel system.
If you have the capability to turn the Vegamatic off!!----turn it off----let it run on streight diesel.

e300 diesel
already disconnected the veggie system.
replaced all the clear plastic fuel lines with OM parts
engine will crank, but won't fire.
I've completely primed all the lines to eliminate any air. No fuel leaks anywhere, no airbubbles in the fuel lines.
replaced the fuel pump and the fuel shutoff valve.
I wonder if there couldn't be some issue with the vacuum system. I believe the throttle mechanism is vacuum controlled. there appears to be a vacuum line running to the injector pump.
If indeed my injector pump has failed, you say that the engine light would light? since there is no code being thrown, I take this as good news, since a new IP is very expensive!
