09' E320
Has to have more than 7000 miles; is then considered used and can be registered.

2010 and up E Class are AdBlue (urea injection) and are legal for sale new.

All MBZ diesel vehicles which were not legal for sale new in California must have 7,500
or more miles on them out-of-state before the DMV will register them as used here.
CDIs were not legally sold in Califonia when new.

2005-2006 CDIs are the diesel of choice in the MBZ line.

Regarding the 2007 and later Bluetec V6 3.0 L diesels that do not require
AdBlue additive fluid
, you must check with the California DMV to be sure.
Do yourself a favor and find a 2005-2006 CDI with the preferred straight six 3.222 L diesel instead.

You do not want to buy a 2010 or later Bluetec. They are heavier, slower and not as economical.
They require AdBlue fluid. They have the exhaust restriction of the dreaded DPFs
(diesel particle filters) as do all 2007s and later diesel models
.

The last good MBZ diesels sold in N A were the 2005-2006 CDIs.
