I found what looks like a great deal on Autotrader. It's a 2011 Certified E-350 Blutec with 20,503 miles on it. It has keyless go, the lighting package, the premium 2 package and is the right color inside and out. The price looks great, but it's a 6 hour drive from where I live.
I plan on calling the dealer this morning when they open to ask about what additional costs and fees (other than tax and license) are added to the asking price. I also need to know if the car is still available, because I don't want to drive 6 hours for nothing.
Since it's certified I'm sure that it's clean and runs great, but are there any other questions I should be asking?

1) If you are going to drive there ask if they will hold it for you to look at.
2) I assume it is in state, so paperwork should be no big deal.
3) Ask for a sample invoice showing all costs, fees and taxes so you know exactly what you will be paying
6 hours is nothing for the right car at the right price.

Thanks for the response. I plan on calling this morning and your questions 1 and 3 were two of the questions that I was going to ask. Since it's in the same state (CA) I knew that the paperwork wouldn't be a show stopper. Thanks again.

A immaculate service book is a must & also a through mechanical check by someone who is conversant with the model.
If buying second hand I always do some detective work to find the previous owner & speak to them on past/present problems, servicing, accidents & why they are selling .Make sure the auto trans has been fully flushed with the correct oil every 39,000 miles. It may not say it has to be done in the service book but it has been proven if you want longevity ,it has to be done.
Paying a little more for one in top mechanical condition is sometimes a good move.
Good luck.
