OM 606.910 turbo upgrade
Hello, I have MB 300D engine OM 606.910 (no T/C 136HP) installed in my boat. I would like to have few HP more (don’t we all) so I am interested in following:
1. is it possible to upgrade my engine with Turbocharger and how much will i gain
2. what other modification will be necessary
3. what parts do i need

I'd check out www.superturbodiesel.com there are a bunch of threads on the OM606 there to increase horse power. The easiest you can do is an ECU upgrade from a tuning company. You could upgrade the turbo, but any worthy turbo increase will require more fuel. You'll need to get 7.5 or 8.0mm elements installed into your injection pump.
I'd say try the tuning program first and see how you like it. Then go down the route of turbo and fueling upgrades.

Thank you for your advice. I would like to found what parts and how much money an upgrade is going to cost before i decide which route to take. I checked www.superturbodiesel.com Guys there are mostly focused on how to upgrade their existing TD and i am looking for some info how to upgrade my diesel to turbo diesel. I am willing to sacrifice fuel consumption for more power = more speed. I now that 606.962 engine were running with KKK K14 TC and some of upgraded 606 engines were equipped with HE341VE with 7mm pump elements (myna). Do you have any advice what will be a better option for 606.910

I didn't realize this was the N/A OM606. There's a ton of work that needs to be done to that engine if it is going to be reliable with a turbo. I'm not entirely sure the total cost. If you add a turbo, you'll be looking at the turbo, injectors, injection pump elements, etc. My engine started with a turbo so I'm probably not much help.
