turbo cuts out after warming up...confused

not sure if this is the right section...but didnt see anything for E class w211 diesel so here goes. its a 2007 e320 bluetec. basically after warming up there is no power. i can hear the turbo up to that point but after then its just a diesel motor. its at mercedes now and id like to keep from replacing a bunch of expensive **** to see if it fixes the problem so i figured id ask here. cel popped on (after quite awhile...) and said turbo underboost and iirc something about temp. i can get the actual codes from mercedes tomorrow if needed. it was driving fine for about 2 weeks...then it just quit. car has full power up until just about normal temp. but im stumped and mercedes is ready to have me dump money into it fixing stuff. really hoping someone has an idea or suggestion. just want it fixed so i can sell this hooptie

Check the plastic duct work or hose that feeds boost to the engine. Mine developed a small crack in it that wouldn't manifest itself until the engine was at operating temperature and i floored it (once it heated up, the duct work became more flexible).

Also the clips fail over time so it may just be loose piping.

Don't worry about a sound... you'd know if the turbo was being cut out of the equation by how slow the car would become.

I don't think I've ever been able to hear my turbo, and I don't even use the engine cover.

so replace the EGR the code that pops up is turbo under Boost now that is the only one that pops up as soon as we clear the code the turbo spools up but as soon as it realizes whatever its realizing it stops
