Hi,
I bought the zero start 38 mm threaded coolant heater referenced in this thread, but it turns out my vehicle doesn't have the threaded fitting. After reading up further, it looks like only northern vehicles received them. Is this the right part number for the new fitting? 6422000256 (om642)
I'm assuming this has the 38mm threads I can screw my zero start heater in. Any guidance here would be appreciated. I'm pretty sure, I just don't want to dive into 150$ in this part with coolant without a bit more confidence.
Thanks

Is it DEFA system? Go their webpage and then check ebay for part you need.Originally Posted by Lmed

There is a block heater in the Mercedes part system. I wouldn’t mess with dime store solutions.

We are talking engine pre-heater, which is AC powered. True, sometimes these systems are messing slightly with cold start fratures of car, but on the other hand you have always warm angine and warm cabin when you start the car at -30C. Huge advance in comfort and lubrication of the engine. Originally Posted by lkchris

Hi, I'm from the province of Alberta and new to this forum. Recently I bought a Motorhome with 2020 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3.0L V6 Turbo Chassis (Model: XCC1706). This unit didn't come up with Block Heater. When I called MB Calgary Dealer, they said I can install DEFA Miniplug. I ordered the part.
Where exactly the location of this cap when I'm watching under the front portion of engine?
Does DEFA Miniplug one end fits to that spot?
Thanks in advance for your help.
VEN.
