250d, 350d vs. 220d in Mercedes GLC
I'm buying a GLC SUV and have a problem with engine choice. I want good power but not crazy high fuel consumption and because GLC is a heavy car, diesel should be a good choice.
I know Mercedes came out with brand new 220d engine which looks good on paper but it is a new engine and who knows how it will do in couple of years.
GLC doesn't have that engine yet. You can pick a 250d or 350d (V6). Both engines are older and proven. Fuel consumption is probably a little higher then 220d, but i drove 250d GLC and it was a lot more fun then 220d E class.
I'm seriosly considering 3.0 V6 (350d) engine for GLC for great power when needed and still good economic ride. Is that a good choice or am i buying an old diesel technology with high consumption and a lot of problems?
