ml 270cdi .2003 fuel gage not working
can anyone tell me how to fix my fuel gage please.
the gage is showing empty and yes there is deisel in ..
i have tried removing the fuse and resetting it . but still nothing ..

Welcome to the forum and fill up your profile for more directed advise.
Last time I check, MBUSA sells fuel gauge as fuel pump assembly only, so it is not going to be cheap.
Those pumps are pretty tricky as they use Venturi effect to get the fuel from lower part of the tank and they did have BURNING WIRES problem.
MB never made a recall on it, but this way, or the other, the job require high-tech skills and is not for average DIY.
Tell us more how good you are in car repairs?

cheers for the advice .. i filled it to the brim .. still nothing . so gonna investigate it further once i have run down the tank . i think its the sender unit.. not showing after halfway full . might just need the wiper cleaning .

Im not familiar with ML tank system but in models where is saddle type tank, there are two sensor elements which are used combined... star will also show 2-3 diffeerent options for level sensor types.
