1996 E300D no start

Hello everyone, i am new to MB World so bear with me i recently bought a 1996 E300d with the 0M606 that wont start it cranks over and wants to start but wont engage the previous owner told me that when the Crankshaft position sensor was replaced the vehicle stopped running when i first took a look at it i noticed bubbles in the fuel lines did some research and ended up replacing 6 of the fuel lines with the o-ring all from dealer and that didnt solve the problem because i was still getting bubbles from the lines going into shut-off valve then i replaced the shut off valve with the o ring (also from dealer) and it still wont start the SOV does click when key is on and no red and green lights are on. any help is appreciated

Diesels are very simple, it's either compression or lack of fuel plus the ease of starting cold with good glow plugs------wada you have!

Your right if you are talking the old days before electronic controls. Now with all the electronics they are as bad as the normal gasoline engine.
