lol..I did say it was in comfort mode on the video, it spins too much. Ie comfort pulls off in second.
The car does not get thrashed enough , it will smoke now and again due to grandad driving , but its not all the time on the throttle.
Your 4 banger will never be as smooth as my merc with 170,000 miles on the clock ie motorway. Mileage i do i will stick to my V6 thanks.
Dont be misguided by the car i own, yes i could change it, but its fully loaded and does everything i want it to do.
My boot is constantly full, i have had rocks for my pond in the back, its a work horse and a keeper.
Yes i have had 4 bangers, just dont like them when you have to press on unless its a 300bhp petrol ie golf r type engne.
Then its completely different.
I am happy and you are happy with your 4 banger.
Ps i have good tyres on my car, and with the stance and wheel spacers it handles lovely thanks.

1 of my 4-bangers has 185 000 miles on it and 1 of the reasons I like it over V6 becouse it is much smoother.
V6 with high inertia was making for pretty annoying downshifting while braking.
Than I am fully satisfied with 195 HP, what allows me taking all the freeway grades on 7th gear. You seem to be power freak, so that is different story.
Stepping on it overrides C mode and kick the car to 1st gear. btw
At least that is how MB makes it originally.
Nice drive regardless. I've been dreaming about MB diesel wagon in US for last 20 years, but politics in this country won't let me have it. Had VW diesel wagon, but that was pretty small car and sold it before all the VW diesel fiasco.

I am getting on now lol , ex 44tonne class 1 driver for 25 years tends to make me behave.
I just love the looks of the car,.
Not really a power freak, i love my cars and like to get abit more out of them but not to the point where i would start getting problems, i cannot be doing with the car being in the garage being repaired all the time.
I just needed a bigger car for everything i do.
I know you like the 2 litres better regards to the diesels, but i prefere the V6 .
I have had the Skoda Superb diesel, plus a Alfa 156 TI 1.9 mapped in the day, plus a ltd edition VRS with Revo map and dsg, that was a nice drive and quick for a 2litre.

Plus modded S3 8P, Golf R32 APS 300Bhp. Audi Le mans 3.0 tdi 240bhp.
16valve MK1 Golf Gti,s , alsorts tbh. Alfa GTA,s with lsd,s.fitted for traction.
List goes on.

I will be getting another car , but i will not sell this car.
I have always been a VW Audi guy.
I really need a 4wd due to the weather here, but i am getting winter tyres soon. I am using Goodyear Eagle F1,s at the minute.
They dont clear the roads like they do in UK here.
Driving on thick ice in winter.
So it spends alot of time in the garage in winter.
