Bluetec questions
Three quick questions.
1. Is a 2008 E320 a Bluetec or a CDI. Everyone says it’s a Bluetec but the title, registration and build card says CDI.
2. How long should fuel injectors last? Just curious
3. If or when they go bad do they have to be coded with star or can they just be installed?
thanks!

1922 Ford Model T / no OBD
In US the 2008 is Bluetec with DPF.
I know injectors have to have their numbers entered. Deep scan of my Bluetec show that injectors have been already replaced by 160k miles, but I have no other record.
On other hand air filters replacement requires reset as well, when I drove several hundred miles before having it done and nothing happen.
New filters shaved 2 sec from acceleration time, so engine did notice the difference.
