80k maintenance 2014 E250 Bluetec
so, I’m going to pick up my own parts and have a local mechanic shop do the work.
Wondering about when to buy off brand and when to buy oem parts, fluid, etc.
im going to do oil filter, trans, brake fluid, fuel filter, def top off, etc.
Any tips on where to get deals? What am I missing at 80k? What do I need to do to preserve my warranty? Thanks! Tim

Assuming you are in US,for MB parts I found Husker https://www.mbdirectparts.com/ hard to beat. Not only best internet prices, but good communication (you actually can talk with part person) and on few occasions they spend time to find the part for me in Europe, when local stealer "Could not get it"
For fluids, be careful with oils. The DPF on those cars is very delicate and I just placed $2500 order on new filter. Bookmark http://bevo.mercedes-benz.com/bevoli...ets-sort1.html and keep rechecking it every few months, as the list is getting updated.
You can find approved oils at autohousaz.com, pelicanparts.com and several forum sponsors. Seem any of them can have sale at any point and those oils are not cheap at all.
I am not fan of Mobil1 and lately bought this oil https://www.autohausaz.com/pn/LM-2244
You should be due for transmission service and for that you need to read ATF temperature. Make sure you have right tool and with converter drain 9l of new ATF.
Remember to keep all the receipts and fill up service booklet for warranty

Read the MB approval list and see what classification the oil has.
For stuff like that you should never take forum word for it.
Even when site like autohousaz or amazon will tell you "it will fit your vehicle" - double check it anyway.
