I bought a 96 e300d about a month ago. It had some transmission problems but most of them cleared up by just changing the fluid. It was doing great until the other day when I was going to drive it the abs light and ETS light came on. It also has no power. I can put the pedal to the floor and the rpm only goes to 1000. Is there some sort of safety feature that prevents the car from running correctly if the brakes are bad? The guy I bought it from said that there is a glow plug broke off inside but it still ran fine until the other day. I wouldn't have bought it but it was a great deal. Anyway does anyone know what could be wrong? Thanks.
