1995 E300D exhaust issue

need collector pipe for header pipes so I can eliminate the catalyzer that is burned
off. Wondering if anyone has had a need prior to locate one. Don't want to take it to
the exhaust shop. Shops in the hinterlands freak when they see these things as they
are extremely rare here in the western/Midwest. even though they are simple to work
on. With an excess of 300K; I've done all the needed maint. & repairs to date. I'd just
as soon fix the exhaust too; if I can.

thanks,
John

Anyone aware of the size/diameter of the header pipe that goes into the CAT?

They just replaced my muffler to stop the rattle but they are working on several other issues so I’ll let you know when I get the car back in two weeks!

They replaced my muffler and it fixed the exhaust rattle! Now if they can fix the interior rattles I’ll be happy!
