I have a 1987, 190D 2.5, wanted to know the location of the oil cooler, I recently found some oil in the coolant reservoir tank. One of the causes would be a blown head Gasket. Some talk about checking the oil cooler, hoses and o rings. Any input would be appreciated. Any cost estimates on doing a head gasket repair

Did not had that particular engine, but MB diesels of the era had air to oil coolers mounted in front fenders.
Regardless the location air to oil will not contaminate your coolant.
I had 3l engine of that year and had to replace head gasket.

I DIY. The head gasket was cheap - I remember less than $100 and I measure head bolts to stay within tolerances, so I reused them.
Still heck of the job on the engine with turbo and maze of fuel lines. Newer, electronic injectors make such job much easier.
