Black death seal replacement tips
I took care of two more of these over the weekend and I noticed a few things that might be helpful.
- The puller that I found on Amazon was a little small so I had to use a right angle grinder to make it a little wider. I noticed this by pulling an injector that hadn't started to leak yet and checking it.
- I have the right tap for the hold down bolts but I found that spraying carb cleaner in there and then using a bunch of q-tips allowed me to get the threads nice and clean. Bolt was easy to finger tighten all the way down. Use one q-tip at a time and push it all the way to the bottom. They will come out black at first but after 5-6 of them they started coming out white. I was a little worried that the tap would remove some metal and weaken the threads so I tried this and it worked great.
