ML350 w164 Boost leak repair

For those of you with leaks on this joint I was able to use a 4 ply silicone 2.5 to 2.25" coupler to replace the o-ring and metal bracket. Works like a charm.

p.s I did grind off the protrusion

Single hose clamps not likely will hold high boost.
Ford truck do have special clamps for it, with heavy springs under the bolts.
Do at least double clamp.

It only makes about 22 psi... lol. Yeah I have some nice clamps I picked yup today now that I know the exact size. Just for posterity these dont leak.

If you take these apart you'll notice a lip on the black plastic part that actually helps create a seal head of the clamp. On the metal side it actually tapers down and I was able to clamp on the taper again making it impossible to pop off and under boost it actually pulls the connection tighter.
