Anyone heard of VGT vane mechanism sticking (not an actuator problem) -




- Option 1 : Replace the entire turbo assembly - would certainly prefer not to
- Option 2: Pull the turbo and see if there's any repairs I can potentially make. I haven't pulled it yet, so I'm trying to get input as to what might be causing the stiffness:
- Gunked up possibly? Can it just be cleaned?
- Some sort of mechanical failure, broken gear or piece inside?
Has anyone dealt with something similar? Car has 135K on it and is a W211 2007 OM642
