If you do not have them I recommend this before anything else ...... Exhaust Mods and Such .... these have REAL FEEL gains.. this is one of the newest upgrades I have a Build Thread going .. This is a E55 Valve body with SLR Blue Top Solenoid Set and new Conductor plates going in WED . Next mods is the Fuel Pump Upgrade .

Most people just cut the CAT down pipe get a tune and call it a day. Better to start with things that work . They are cheaper than a Trans Tune and more effective .
Mercedes started making these STANDARD for later year E55's and high performance cars in the last 2 -3 years of production as a way of making the transmission better performance .

ALL DONE ... Love the new upgrade eliminated alot of the "Transmission confusion issues" at low gear an trying to suddenly accelerate. The Lag is gone . When i am merging on a main road or pulling the Uturn there is no more lag at low speed to get up and go .
You can feel the car get into gear even before the Tach for the transmission changes lol. The down shifts were only hard at first the car TCU adapts and is not bad feels like a smooth manual .
The C mode is still smooth but improved .
NO DOUBT Night and day difference and I do not feel a $1000 Valve body would give me better results at this power level and was worth the $230 in solenoid parts that I paid . Will recommend anyone do this who is looking for SOLID results
