GLK 250 DPF Regen HELP
P2459 Diesel particulate Filter Regeneration Frequency
P2453 Diesel Particulate Filter Differential Pressure sensor circuit range/performance
I've been driving the car for over 200 miles trips the past month, the check engine light goes away. After a few days of local short trips the engine light came back on.
I did a lot of research on DPF regeneration, a lot of people refer to highway driving will trigger automatic DPF regen, how fast should I be driving to trigger it?
Does anyone have any recommendations of car scanners that can force DPF regen for GLK250?
Thank you.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Autel-HT2...Tool/964022238 is the best deal at this time, but on long run you might want to consider ScanGauge, who can be left plug permanently with no additional worry.
The Autel should read the regeneration history, what will give you some records to review.
But now you have sensor code, so replacing the sensor would be the start.
Once you have the sensor fixed and scanner working - you will see sot level climbing when you drive and at 100% the regeneration should start, unless other parameters like 1/3 of fuel in tank are not meet.
When you see regeneration pending, what takes +- 10 miles, you should avoid aborting it, meaning take extra loop around the block before shutting the engine down. There is nothing wrong with aborting regeneration when you have to once in a while, but doing few abortion in the row can bring soot too high for natural regeneration to restore it.
Highway driving is a myth. My E250 BT does regeneration in city driving just fine and even does ECO engine shut downs during. I figure out it better to turn ECO off to speed up regeneration.

I purchased the Autel Ht200, where can i find information to read the regeneration history? where can i see the shot level? I've been playing with the device on my app and i couldn't figure it out. Instructions came with the devices didn't help either. Please help
thank you!
