Provent 200 , good ,Modified?
Hello and how are you all today. So with the high oil consumption in getting through my PCV valve Im looking at the Provent 200 catch can. Ive been reading articles that say its okay, others its bad. On one forum I found and article where a guy reversed the air flow so it would strain the oil out of the air backwards, with good results.
Have any of you used this catch can and if so how are the results ? Have any of you modified it ?

Okay ,so i did watch alot of youtube videos of the provent 200 tests by people who bought one on their own. It appears to be doing a good job getting the oil out of the air from the crank case vent valve. I ordered one last week, now Im looking for a place to install it. has any of you ever installed one on a w212 E350 ? Its really tight under the hood and the only place I can see one being installed would be behind the grill. Any Ideas? Thanks,E350cruiser

You need to make a custom bracket. I had used existing bolts already on the firewall and on engine to connect custom brackets out of simpson strong tie brackets at Lowes. Easy to bend/cut and drill using power tools. Some drill to firewall. I had no space, so mounted mine in front of radiator just like the youtube video.

brackets and such i can come up with. It just looks like it wont fit anywhere between the firewall and the radiator. The only spce i see a possibility is behind the grill, in front of the AC condenser.
