2014 GLK250 Smoke/Vapor under car
Wife's car sometimes smokes a little from underneath. It was first pointed out to me by someone that was driving behind me and pulled up at the light about a year ago. I have noticed it on a few occasions since then, but every time I pull over to try to track it down, it had stopped.
I finally caught it, here is a video of where it is coming from:
Does anyone recognize what that is? There is no smell to it, it seems like it is some kind of vapor rather than smoke. It also looks like some kind of a spring loaded contraption, so for a while after I caught it on video I did not think much of it - thought it was doing what it is supposed to relieving pressure or something? DEF fluid? A couple weeks ago, the car showed low coolant, so it got me wondering again. Coolant should not be going down there, right?
Anyway, any help or insight is appreciated!
But I will figure out if this part can be resealed, and maybe do a quick writeup if I can do it myself.
