OM606 Injection pump install very tight
There is about 1/4” gap on all 3 ears and I don’t want to draw it in with the 3 mounting bolts(I learned the hard way and broke an IP ear off preiviously on another engine, luckily I was able to successfully weld the ear back on)
I've had luck in the past with turning the crank clockwise when the IP is not seated and it draws and aligns the injection pump in to almost 1/8” to the block.
Does anyone have any ideas on getting the IP flush with the block? I’m thinking I may have to remove the ip and sprocket and replace the IP sprocket 1 tooth closer to the cam sprocket. The chain from the cam to the iP sprocket is slightly loose but the chain from the IP very tight.
Any one have any ideas?
