2011 blutec 3.0 High engine idle most of the time800-900 whilein park and drive
I had the car a while but i notice that the idle has been high 800-900. When this happens the transmission shifts funny at the same time. Car lurches forward so it is uncomfortable to drive in heavy traffic. Oddly enough sometimes car cars idle will return to normal after 6 hours of driving and car will run fine. What is causing this? How can I stop this? I am loosing mpg when this happens. I have a engine code lost communication with glow plug module. replaced the module and it came back. Not sure if it related.

Idle is raised to ~ 800rpm:
1. Low voltage (at startup in winter) to charge up the battery, I found it doesnt raise idle if i have hvac shut off when i start the car,
2 During Regen- I found if it doesn't complete a regen, (you shut car off during regen) it does higher idle for a while after.
3. AC is on?
The high idle bothered me a lot so I had a few threads created until I figured out what causes it.
