GL350/OM642, oil dipstick location
I never noticed but there seems to be a discrepancy between reality and the owner's manual.
My oil dipstick is yellow with just a small knob on top and us in the back right of the engine. My owner's manual shows it having a different pull (red and kind of like a D-ring) and being in the left back of the engine.
Anyone know what the story is?

MB likes to make changes even mid-year, so get used to it.
I have seen 3 different models of MB with the same engine, yet each one of them had dipstick in different location.
Even having over a dozen MB in the past, I was still surprised with transmission tube in Sprinter, showing up in front of the engine on passenger side.
