I'm debating whether or not to buy this 1998 E300 Turbodiesel for $10k and around 160k miles on it. The car is in great condition I am told but I don't know if this is worth it or not considering that previous sales and KBB estimation are much lower ($4000), that is if the KBB rating is anything to go off of at all, anything that I've seen around the KBB price range is very high millage and very worn (280k-300k miles). I am very enthused to get one of these cars but I am not sure I can reconcile with paying such a high price and am seeking advice from you all. Thanks!

What part of the US are you in? I’m in SC and know where a 98 or 99 is that has been exceptionally kept for almost 1/2 that price if it’s still available. My wife decided for me that I don’t need another diesel so I took a pass on it. My 30+ year mechanic turned me on to it but I never laid eyes on it so I can’t say for sure how the paint is however, he knows how picky I am.
