Hello,
It's my first week of my E220 W212 2011 and I still don't feel right with the sound my car makes and the sound attached is on traffic also when I stop I can hear it inside the cabin and its really annoying. Some people have told me it's okay and this is the sound they make (because it is a diesel mercedes) but I still think its the timing chain or maybe the engine mounts. Also when I go on high speeds I feel the engine shaking when I accelerate. If anyone can help and tell me whats wrong I would really appriciate.

What noise? Are you referring to the tapping noise? Sounds like normal Diesel knock to me. If you're annoyed by it inside the cabin then maybe some of your sound proofing material is missing.

Yes its a little disturbing because my car also shakes a little bit on idle and I can feel it in my seat when calm. Also when I go up 100 km/h the whole car shakes thats why Im worried. Sorry its just my first diesel and its a little bit odd!
