Whoosh After Rev - OM642

Wondering if anyone else has a "whoosh" after revving in park/neutral or after letting off accelerator while driving? Is this normal? I have attached a video. Thanks for any assistance!

If you do or don't, can you post your year/model and if you had the AEM performed? Thanks!

Wondering if any of you with the OM642 can check to see if you have this air release/suction after revving. I am being told that this is now normal post AEM.

No whoosh. You likely have an air leak (or a Subaru).

Sounds like a blow off valve which our cars don't have. Something sounds off.

Thank you all. It wasn't there before the AEM and it is there now. Dealer had it for quite some time and had the Sprinter team look at it as well. After digging in and checking connections and for any debris, they looked at another vehicle that had the AEM performed and it has the "whoosh." They checked another vehicle that has not had the AEM performed yet, and no "whoosh."

They are telling me this is the new normal post AEM, which I didn't believe, hence my asking here. Any thoughts on next steps with the dealer?

Did they give an explanation of what was done for the AEM that is causing the noise? Is there a blow off valve? If so, maybe it's a programming change.

Is there a throttle valve? Maybe it's being closed under different circumstances.

Thanks. They cannot explain why it is doing it. I suggested to them that potentially being the ECU was changed and updated per the AEM that maybe it's new programing causing the ?release?? They really didn't seem to have an answer, but I do believe them that they tore everything back down and made sure everything was connected properly. My advisor is a straight shooter.

I got the same whoosh sound after the AEM on a 2012 E350. I googled around and found other videos where people were wondering what that sound is and no one really had the straight answer. I don't think it's due to the ECU update since there are videos out there questioning the sound before the AEM was a thing.
