'99 E300 fuel tank issues

I'm stumped by this fuel problem I've been having with my 1999 E300 with the OM606.962
Problem: Fuel leaves the tank, entering the filler neck and gets passed the filler neck spilling into the overflow hose leaking on the ground above 1/2 tank. This does not happen when fuel is below 1/2 a tank. Have been doing splash n dashes filling up $10-20 at a time which is fine but extremely annoying. I would like to get this problem solved.

Possilbe solutions: I have no idea. I'm completely lost on what could be going wrong as are 2 Stealerships worth of techs and service advisors.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It is normal thing that at about 10 years mark, the oring on maze of fuel tubings deteriorate and whole bunch of problems starts.
I made long topic about it on benzworld, with parts number.
To make system reliable you need to replace all tubings (5?) or you will chase the leaks forewer.

Does this happen when you're refueling, or while driving? If while driving, I got to think there's something wrong with the cap or the filler neck. If it's while refueling then the tank isn't venting properly.

For Plutoe and John information, the W210/606 fuel system has tank placed behind rear seat back rest, meaning partly above engine level.
That is why leaky fuel tubings can drain the tank.
Typical troubleshooting starts with parking the car nose up.
