I installed a Bosch boost gauge permanently inside the car under the dash (actually doesn't look bad). I am having terrible acceleration and it shows 0psi of boost when I drive it. I bypassed the Boost Pressure control vacuum transducer (Y31/4 on the vacuum diagram) and plumbed the line that originally went to it directly to the turbo. I took it out for a test drive. It says that I'm boosting to 20psi on WOT (you can hear it spool also). I don't feel anything though. In fact, when I hook it up to the transducer I get 0psi and it feels exactly as it does the other way. It takes forever to get up to 60 mph. Something isn't jiving here.
Is it purely a boost gauge or does it read negative pressures too? If your turbo is dead and you're running fully NA, you might be able to confirm with some negative manifold pressure. If your turbo is spinning and developing measurable pressure, then it has to be going somewhere. I'd be looking at every single intake component for leaks or a stuck wastegate/blow off or something.
