e550 sedan or coupe
I dont no what to buy a fully loaded e550 sedan or coupe. im coming out of a 2008 dct m3. i dont like the jerky tranny and bumpy ride. i;ve drove both MB i dont need a sedan no kids. i like 4matic but i like the way the coupe drive a little better. i just feel the coupe is a little funny looking and maybe a little of a girly ride. not trying to offend so i'm sorry in advance. any help would be great.....

If you like the power/handling/steering of the M3, you will be underwhelmed by either the coupe or sedan. Both are great cars, the coupe being a bit less refined, but a baby GT car none the less. I chose the coupe for the RWD dynamics (550 sedan is only available in 4MATIC for Canada) and its more youthful image (personal opinion).
I agree that there is something feminine about the coupe from certain angles and especially in certain colors - it looks more 'narrow' and less powerful than the sedan or something. I will say that the interior of the sedan makes the coupe look like garbage, but overall I'm happy with the coupe for my needs.
Have you considered the C63? It has more power than the M3 but with an easy-going automatic transmission (and it can get nasty if you want it to )

I seem to be in the same predicament your in. I constantly ask myself the same question. Both cars are beautiful but its difficult to make a decision. I'm 19 so I'm more biased toward the coupe in some aspects. Its sporty look is just a bit more appealing in my opinion and just appeals more to the younger crowd i suppose. But moving to a MB, I would be coming from a G37 coupe so its a question of do I really want to be in another coupe? I'm also considering the E63. The way I see it, why sacrifice power for room or room for power when you can have both? I tell you what though, MB would make things allot easier for me if they would just put out and make a amg coupe already. That would be the breadwinner in my eyes. Anyway as of right now, I think the coupe is the better of the two. Thats just my personal opinion, but even I'm not so dead set on it. These are just my 2 cents.

I was tossed up on the same decision, I opted for the coupe basically because I liked the way the car looked. The sedan has more options available to it than the coupe does like 4matic, lane assist, etc but overall for me the coupes looks swayed me
As far as girly car, I don't think so when you hit the gas on the 550 you'll see what I mean the car has a nice deep growl and the power to back it up, I used to drive an slk350 and that was definitely a chicks car but I think the coupe won't disappoint you

im surprised you think its a girly car. theres nothing girly about it. besides if you have those thoughts then it should be easy decision for you.. SEDAN.... . i find the coupe to be a luxury and the sedan a necessity. theres always a reason of why you chose a certain car. be wise son. the 550c is one beautifull car. once u own one you will never look at a m3 the same way again. now your in a different league

Girly
I thought the same thing when I first saw photos of the coupe. My neighbor has a 550 in black and from what I can see it came with some nice rims too. Anyway he's a big guy and he usually drives it, not his wife. The car has a good sound to it as well, a nice rumble. I don't think it's feminine looking.
