E350 Coupe
I'm Impressed!!!

If any of you have the paddle shifters and your car is broken in and you haven't tried them yet...give them a try. This car is flat out fun to drive using the paddle shifters. I have the E350 (I wanted the E550 but this is my wifes car and she really doesn't need V8 power...trust me!) The shifts are clean and fast and the V6 really is adequate to provide a fun driving experience. I drive an Infiniti G35 Coupe auto which also has manumatic only you use the shift lever. (The coupe is basically a dressed up 350Z) I had to add a SprintBooster to get fast smooth shifts. It has 12 more horsepower and is lighter...also much louder...stock intake and exhaust and the ride is significantly harsher. But the E350 is everybit as much fun to drive, it performs so quietly and effortlessly. I feel the E350 is a good choice unless your a horsepower addict.

I am surprised no one responded to this. It seems most people on this forum put their eyes on bigger machines more, doesn't matter which model. The smaller engine siblings owners don't seem to visit this forum much. Or maybe they do and just don't speak much? There are a lot more of them out there on the road than the big brothers though.

Sure, more the better, the idea to trade my E350 Coupe to an E550, either a Coupe or even a Cabrio, has been in my head everyday (no kidding) for the last 6 months. But I also wonder do I really need the extra. I find it difficult not to break the laws with the E350 Coupe already. Step on the pedal a little harder and I am over the speed limit, and most of the time I wouldn't even notice it without looking at the meter.

Besdies, the overall design of the E Coupe is more of a cruiser, and even more so for the E Cabrio, IMHO. And as you said, it still provides enough fun when I feel like having some.

Well, I guess I will just have to keep pressing the devil in my heart and hopefully to keep it till the new engines are available in 2012. Will certainly try to play with the paddle shifters. Haven't tried it since mine just over 3000 miles, and this is the first vehicle I owned equipped with it. Need to figure out how.
