E63-Style Bumper for E-Coupe - Willing Vendor!

Revozport is willing to produce an E63-style front bumper for the E-Coupe if we can get 10 buyers at about $750 each. They require a deposit of $350. Is anyone (other than me) interested in this? The bumper would be poly (Purim?), not fiberglass.

The C63 guys have had great results with Revozport, thus I think this could be really good.

Awesome photoshop below:

what kind of material is the bumper? If it's polyurethane, then yes. If it's fiberglass, forget it. It is hard to paint and will have poor fitment and cracks...

2010 E350 Coupe
This change would create a lot of front end body work considering that the contour lines in the E63 front end and the E350/550 don't match each other. Also the bottom rap around ground effect is matched to the side ground effects (a continuation) on the E63 which will not match the E coupes side body contour. I don't think this would end up looking as good as you think unless you plan on changing the entire E coupe body, front sides, and rear to match.

The E-Coupe with AMG styling looks very similar in the lower cladding to the E63. While I agree that the upper area is sculpted somewhat on the sedan, from the headlight washers down is contourless. The mold would simply have to use the upper area of the coupe and the lower from the sedan.

You need to use an E-Coupe with AMG styling as a baseline. Obviously the lines won't flow as well with the base model styling.

Yes I see what you are saying now with the AMG styling. This option is not available here in the States. If it were, I would have gotten it. I really like the ground effects, appearance more so than the plain contour of the bottom rails on my E350.

It is not the standard body style nor is this body style available as an option on the E350 coupe as I have shown here in the attached pics. If I had know at the time of purchase, four months ago I would have gone with the E550 instead of the E350.

And the best part is, the E350 coupe for Canada gets AMG styling standard for MY11 (optional for MY10).

And with that, back to the E63 bumper discussion.

I am interested but have the following questions. Don't wish to turn it into a money pit.

1. Paint, will they do it or do I have to do it somewhere else? Any idea of the cost would be?

2. Mine has Parktronic sensors. Will it be ready or I have to put the holes myself?

3. Daytime Running Light, do I get to keep the boomerang DRL or do they have to be replaced to the straight one as shown?

4. Mesh inside the bumper, same as above, do I need new one to fit? Or does it come along with the bumper?

5. Can this be easily DIY out and in? Where can I get instructions? Hate to bring this to the dealer for them to make more money out of my pocket.

Not that the 350 looks bad, it's the 550 looks much better with the AMG bumper when you put them side by side, especially the front. The sides and rear are OK for me. So this is a good solution. And $750 is not too bad but I need to decide if it's worthwhile when all is said and done.

1) Unpainted, cost would be $500-$1,000
2) 2 versions, with and without (same goes for headlight washers)
3) Need to use new DRLs
4) Mesh would be included
5) DIY depends on how talented you are, but there are no special tools or software changes required

Thanks for the answers YYZ-E55.

I assume the $750ish doesn't include the new DRLs.

Overall it seems it will cost more money, and hassels, than I am willing to pay for a better looking fascia. I will pass on this one. But good luck to you who will be doing it. It does look nice.

Totally agreed on the trouble getting it installed etc. What about add on lip instead on to the stock bumper? This will save us alot of work rite? As for the design you guys got to decide. Btw is the E coupe and E cabro having the same dimension & specification for stock bumper.

cheers

I would not put a lip spoiler on my car - it makes the car too low and they always look like an afterthought (IMO). Installing a replacement bumper is no more difficult than installing a lip spoiler.

The E Coupe and Cab are the same, yes. This bumper would fit both the coupe and the cab, any engine variant. It would look best on vehicles with AMG bodystyling, however, the AMG skirts/rear bumper could be added to a non-AMG car if desired.

With some reservation... Count me in the group buy. Does this group buy include the DRL'S? The DRL'S from Revozport alone are $450-650 (can't remember exactly). So if $750 is legit, this would seem only the bumper and not the DRL'S.
