E350 Coupe
Man...am I correct that that is $11,919.60 US dollars. That is one expensive upgrade. Certainly sets it apart from stock!

Only MBs - the best or nothing
This interior looks great, no questions about it.

However, IMO that amount would be better spent for E550 "upgrade".

IMHO, E550 with stock interior is much more of a car than even this E350.

E350 Coupe
I'm sorry threeMBs I disagree with the fact that the E550 is that much more of a car than the E350. It's obvious by gavrocool's investment in his E350 that had he wanted an E550 he could have bought one. I'm afraid that we get carried away with horsepower numbers and zero to sixty times when in everyday driving they are meaningless. Yes you get the Air-Matic suspension also with the 550 but it will be significantly more expensive if repairs are needed and the E350 (which I own) has a comfort/sport mode that works just fine for my wife and I. My wife did not want a 550 and after driving the E350 it has enough power to meet my needs. The E550 is not a better car it is a faster car if that's what you want.

steelgrey, not only E550 coupe has different engine, it also comes with AMG body kit that E350 coupe does not (not even as an option in the USA). While interior is almost identical (no AMG steering wheel in E350 and some other minor things), the exterior is so different IMO, that I would have never bought the car in the first place, had AMG kit was not available at all. (to me 350 coupe is like E "luxury" sedan, while 550 coupe is E "sport" sedan. that luxury look both coupe and sedan is not for me. of course I bought 550 coupe as like exterior and especially interior a lot more that "sport" sedan's). Also, 550 coupes do not have airmatic, only 550 sedans do. Remember, E coupe is just a name - it realy is a "CLK" like still based on C platform. I'm actually quit surprised you brought "airmatic" point and did not point out exterior differences. Both show, sorry to say, luck of knowledge on your part.

E350 Coupe
Sorry, but that's ridiculous! The front fascia is slightly different, there are add on side skirts and the exhaust pipes are square with a minor difference in the lower bumper cover. Other than that the grill, fenders front and rear, doors, pano roof, trunck deck and hood are all identical to the 550. I have the apperance package with the AMG wheels and the hockey stick front LED lights (identical to the 550) inside the interiors are identical. I have the stainless pedals with rubber buttons, multi contour seats 14 way adjustable, heated and ventilated and paddle shifters. Although I don't have the AMG wheel I have the optional wood steering wheel and shift knob which I personnaly think enhances the additional wood trim. You're right I called the suspension by the wrong name it is actually the Dynamic Handling Suspension with automatic adjusting dampers two modes comfort and sport I have the Agility Control Suspension with automatic adjusting dampers and two modes comfort and sport they are basically the same. Much more than the Airmatic. Thanks for pointing that out. It's not that I have a lack of knowledge, It's that I consider the AMG add on body panals insignificant to the overall look of the car. Now what's different about the 550 interior compared to the 350 with the P2 and Appearence Package. You are not driving an AMG you are driving an E-class coupe as am I.

steelgrey, my post was not meant to argue with you on you selecting 350 over 550. All I said is that for ME the exterior difference is night and day for coupe (as well as "luxury" vs. "sport" for sedan), on top of V6 vs. V8.

I have R230, W211 and W207 - all with "AMG" bumpers stock. Other than SL (and maybe CL), I would not have bought any MB if "AMG" body panels were reserved only to true AMG powered cars - I have/had 9 MB cars over last 10 years (mostly 3 at the same time) and IMO there is nothing special about driving MB (again, except SL, CL and AMG powered cars of course). Personally, I prefer an other car - Audi A8/S8, if I had to have only one car. I am just fortunate enough to be able to have both - Audi to satisfy my love of driving and MBs to keep my wife happy (not that she drives all MBs - W211 is hers, she just wouldn't let me buy "toys" unless it has 3pointed star on the grilll).

So, in the last ten years you've owned 9 cars you don't really think are special. I currently own four cars and each of them were carefully selected and a pleasure to drive. I enjoy each one equally although they are very different. Nuf said.

Why do people keep saying that the 2011 E 350/550 is the same as the CLK? I've been in both and they are not close to the same. Here is information from Car and Driver, which by the way is not the absolute source for MB info but it sums up what I believe to be the case. Unlike the last C124 E-class coupe from the mid-1990s, as well as most of the E-class coupes before it, the 2010 E coupe is not simply a two-door version of the 2010 E-class sedan. The New E is more or less a blend of C-class and E-class components under the skin. But whereas the CLK was more C-class than E-class, the new E coupe has more suspension and powertrain bits in common with the E than the C, according to Mercedes-Benz USA product manager Bernhard Glaser.
I'm sure the SL shares some technology and components with the CLK too. Here another quote from Bernhard "it’s a member of the E Class family.” As such it gets all of the E-Class safety doodads we mentioned yesterday, along with the same language and general proportions, but wrapped in a stance and attitude all its own."
Here sre some dimensions comparisons between the new E and the old CLK; The E Coupe is roughly an inch-and-a-half longer, two inches wider and three inches lower than the CLK.

Andrewjoo7 can you clarify something for me do you or do you not own an E550 Coupe. I will not argue this point because it was the same point I made before. Because the E550 has a V8 and costs more it does not mean its better in the same line up... please read my post That's ridiculous!

WOW,Stop arguing guys.THREEMBS in Europe an E500 has the same exterior options as an E350,so this it was not a problem for choosing a car.I choosed E350 because in Romania we don,t have a developed road system so i cannot run my car very often at its fully potential and second in Romania the taxes for big engines are very high.I wanted to buy an E500 but after i drove an E350 i realised that it is enough for me here in Romania, but i definitely know that my next car it will be CLS 63 AMG.

And for you PENNETTA i must say that i owned a CLK 2004 and as well a CLK 2000.In principle CLK is the coupe for E class and it will always be,but you are right the one from 2001-2008 it has too many elements from a C class.

2014 E550 4Matic with P1/LED/Pano
E550 doesn't have AirMatic suspension. It's got conventional springs and adjustable shocks. That, the body kit, the seats and the power were worth the slightly higher cost over a similarly equipped E350 for me. Heck, I didn't even drive an E350....300hp is by baseline these days.

a Porsche costs a lot in Korea, mabe you can afford a SL65 black in the USA!!!

i think Gav's car already has the AMG bodykit, every country has different trims,
in Hong Kong it is a option costing about USD10,000 and includes 18 AMG wheels, flat bottom steering wheel, bigger brakes and the S or C suspension, even a sunroof which is included in most countries costs USD3500!
How much is the E550 in Bulgaria? in HK it is USD143,000 with AMG bodykit

saying that his Leather interior is really nice, i am already tempted as my white leather is getting grey!!!

Andrew, great, look forward to your pics,
in my opinion the E coupe when modified like Gav's is more practical
and exclusive then the average Porsche ( in Hk you might see an E coupe once a week or one every other day if you're lucky) because they are everywhere.
i chose it because i can seat 4 when needed and with my imrpovements it can move very fast and it has turned out to be very reliable!!!
my last car was a E60 BMW 5 series, lowered etc,. but the Benz beats the BMW's interior easily.
the only other choice would be the Panamera
