Has anyone put new Led plate lights in ? I cant get the plastic piece off above the plate, in the middle it wont come off I dont want to break it. any suggestions

I asked a similar question of someone selling the LED plate lights - wanted to know the process of installation. I wasn't given the courtesy of a response to my query, so he lost my business.

well i bought it and tried to install it, for now i jsut replaced the little bulb in the stock one so its the same color as my headlights but i want to replace the whole unit it just feels like the plastic is going to snap where the camera is.

You need to remove the felt trunk liner to access the license plate lights.

yea, I did that and to slip out the whole light it needs to push out to the outside, so that plastic piece needs to be removed, just around the camera it wont pop off.

There is a "u" shaped bracket up inside where the release handle for the trunklid is. You need to slide this bracket toward the front of the car and it will release completely from the trunklid. After doing so, you can remove the entire black underpanel with the lights.

Did you get it from JBSPEED who advertised on this forum? If so, have you queried him about install instructions?
