ECU mod detectable by dealers??
hi guys,
i was talking to a sales manager and he told me that ECU mods are now detectable by service computers. he said a red screen comes up and a notice automatically goes to corporate to void the warranty. has anyone else heard of this? i have seen lots of posts where people say the ECU mod is undetectable, so i am curious. thanks.

i'm sure they can do, but won't bother to **** off their customers, with my bmw they could detect my sprintbooster and led rear license lights but didn't bother to do anything.
what is bad is that i just had my engine warning light come on and they traced it to some faulty sensor, if i had a piggy back ecu on then maybe they would have charged me for fixing it, they could even say how many times my warning light came on for adding the leds!
