yup so I'm awaiting the flaming
I'm under no illusion that they're purely cosmetic so I'm not bothered plus they can come off whenever I want just experimenting at the minute ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
On a side note I'm sure I saw your car featured by HRE recently? If it was, it looks absolutely amazing!

I don't like the CF vents on any car because they make the front look very busy.
If I were, I'd stick with that beautiful Carlsson lip and ditch those vents.
Thanks, yes it was my car

I've taken them off for now anyway so it's back to the clean look - impressed with the cleaning I did, it rained on the way back from work so when I got in hosed the car off and used an electric air blower and its shiny clean again
Will get some pictures of water beading next time for those that may (or may not) be interested in that.
DC thanks for the compliments, Hope the remodel is going well - I need to see some pictures of this boat!
Olszowa, love the wagon mate it is on a totally different level the pictures that I saw from HRE were just crazy good. I keep toying on getting a pre facelift C63 and have it 'charged but I like having a convertible for when the weather is good, will have a V8 AMG at some point though CLS biturbo maybe... !

Mercedes E350 CD Iridium silver convertible 2010
I have de-badged all of my car including the rear, had considered the chrome strip on the doors, it does look very neat in the pictures, But !!! it does offer a little protection from the nutters who park their cars next to and just open their doors with no regard to the damage they do, especially women who don't even park straight or even attempt to reverse park in !!!!

Good call on taking the vents off

Thanks again for the kind words. I like the pre-facelift C63 much more than the current model so You should definitely go for it once You get bored of the convertible.

Thanks, the grill was literally in my office 2 days after ordering it so highly recommend 55-tech if you want a grill; it's very easy to fit too.
Just pull the original grill out starting at the sides, if you look at the pic here you'll notice the clips that the grill is held in by, the only tricky bit is unclipping the center badge from the panel where the AC warning is as it has a habit of finding its way back into the clips so you have to start again!
![](http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e164/D12NABwp/E350D6grill-blk02-1.jpg)
The top bit is a lot easier, you'll be able to see the bolts that hold it in, just undo those and pull it off - but be gentle, the clips that hold the upper piece in are a lot more fragile than the bottom ones.
Boxed contents from 55-tech: the two-piece grill, top and bottom and a brand new genuine MB star which clips on easily enough, took me about 15 minutes in all to do it after scoping where the clips were etc.
Hope that helps you out!![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Did you pull the clips towards or a way from you?

Hey there, just pull it towards you, the grill is strong so you won't break it just put a cloth in between the grill and the clips as you pull it out to stop the grill from moving back in place. Hope that helps.

Thanks Koji, looking forward to seeing more pictures of your beast of a car when you get everything fitted will be one of the absolute best there's no doubt in my mind.
I've just tinted my tail lamps, gone a bit different to well - everyone? I'll get some more shots in the light tomorrow, finished up in the garage when it was dark out so the only pictures are from in there.

Thanks man, yeah had it done by the dealer with a "Brabus trained" tech - get a certificate and all that but retains the warranty. Had some work done under warranty as well with no issues at all, but nothing related to the engine/exhaust etc.
Currently waiting on news regarding a new IC from Forge Motorsports - think that *will* void my warranty !

Well the intercooler isn't looking such an easy job to do so might have to not bother - lots of custom fabrication on brackets etc that is pushing the cost beyond what is a realistic figure to me.
Looked at some 20" rims, Kahn RSX brushed silver/black finish but not sure as the rims would be 9x20 all round with ET32 up front and ET37 at the back, think the fronts are a little too low so may stick out too much

Any one running 20s with ET32 or close to that up front?
Couple more shots of the car as it is right now - took at a local car dealer couple of days ago, not long until the other rims can go on and then decide finally whether to go for 20" or not.

Did you use springs only on the back of the car? because usually rear part is pulled up and higher than front. was it HR or EIBACH ?

it looks lower on the back because of the level of the driveway, it is pretty steep although it doesn't look it. Car sits more or less level on a flat road
