Non standard rims affect warranty?

Hey Guys,

My dealer is telling me that if I change the rims on my E coupé (on order for delivery end Sept) from the standard available MB ones, it will void the warranty. They are saying that MB can and more than likely will refuse to cover anything that could have been affected by the new rims - brakes, steering, blah, blah. All I want to do is fit AMG C63 rims instead of the standard ones.

Does anyone have experience of this or an opinion? I'm going to call MB UK tomorrow to try and get some clarification.

Cheers,
Tom

Since you have been waiting for 6 years for an answer I will say no. My dealer puts many after market wheels on their cars in the show room.
