Oil leaking on 2012 e350 coupe with 250 miles
Im a bit concerened as to what is going with my new e350 2012 coupe. Its been leaving oil stains on my garage floor. Initially i thought it was lubricants burning off but after 300 miles i took it in for service. Was told the oil cooler needs to be replaced and that it will take a few days to get the part in. How big of a procedure is it to change the part. Why would the part be faulty on a brand new car?

It happens, very easy replacement. Part may have been damaged prior to installation or in transit when the vehicle was being tied down. Or the part may have been defectively welded at the factory. Not a big deal and much better than your engine seals leaking from faulty assembly of engine.
