Question Specific oil and filter needed?

Have a 2011 E350 Coupe and going to perform the "Service A" aka the oil change outside of the Mercedes Dealership. I believe there is a specific type of oil needed which is why I can't just bring the car to somewhere like Jiffy Lube. I'm going to search around for a place to take it but need to know what exactly is needed so I can confirm the place I choose has it.

Thanks!

My 2001 SLK320 has the M112 V6 engine and I use 0W-40 Mobil 1 European formula, and a Mann filter element. I used to buy the Mercedes filters but when you do, you will see that they are a Mann filter made in Germany, make sure they are the fleece filters for synthetic oil, and check your owners manual for oil specs. I buy my filters from AutohausAZ.com

Does the oil and filter need to be ordered specially online or are these items that most local shops will carry?

2012 Mercedes E350
Good question. I'm going to get my 2012 E350 on the 31st, a state away. The service dept there isn't open on Saturdays or Sundays, so I will have to get it serviced outside of Mercedes. I'm hoping one of our local "import auto service centers" will be able to handle atleast an oil change.

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

You can buy the oil filters from the dealer and the drain plug seal also, or you can order from a web store, I use AutohausAz.com for Mann filters and genuinemercedesparts.com for Mercedes-Benz original parts, they are a Mercedes car dealer in Atlanta that has a web store. In addition I have a vacuum oil change tool to suck it out of the dip stick tube vs. draining out of the oil pan. Mobil 1 0W-40 synthetic oil can be purchased at any parts store (look for oil on sale) or Walmart has very good deals on Mobil 1.
