2012 E550 coupe

2012 E550 Coupe, lower chrome molding

Hi guys, I just bought a new 2012 E550 coupe black on black. On the sides of the vehicle, there is a lower chrome molding. I would like to remove this, but I'm not sure if there are clips behind it, or indentions to hold it in place. I'm hoping maybe it's just glued against the steel, but if that's the case, will I be able to buff out the marks created from the glue, or would the clearcoat be damaged?

It is clipped in place so wouldn't recommend taking it off

If your talking about the lower chrome on the fender/doors/quarter than its just double
sided tape took mine off at 2 miles looks much better.. took all the badges off
