Brake Dust

Brake Dust
I have about 1800 miles on my 2012 E550 and am very surprised at the minimal amount of brake dust showing up on the wheels, especially the front wheels. With other cars, my Porsche for instance, I am constantly cleaning the wheels due to black brake dust deposits. With the 550E I have very little dust on the front and none on the real wheels. Any of you have similar experience? I must say I am most happy with this situation but totally surprised by it.

Same here, I haven't cleaned the wheels in 2000 miles and they are spotless. It's kind of annoying because I like the dirty look.

2013 E550 Coupe
Same thing with my Diablo, more brake dust on the rear tho... It may be just dirt and rubber from drifting on/off ramps...

Our previous AMG had black brake dust constantly: real pain to keep clean.
The '12 E550 C produces minimal brake dust which is nice.

HAH! Just came over from the same comments/discussion in the W212 thread.
Same here. The wheels stay amazingly clean. It seems to me it's not only the brake dust, but road grime as well. I'm just not seeing a huge, quick
buildup of dirt on the stock AMG 18" wheels.
Especially compared to my last Benz wheels/brakes. Last car: open garage door, drive car out of garage, close garage door, enter roadway, wheels filthy.

The AMG wheels have considerable more nooks and crannies to clean than my previous and takes a bit more time
