How-To: The Hidden Menus

I posted this in the W212 forum but is applicable here also. I wish there were a way to cross-post without really posting twice...

In the case of the 2010 model, you can enable Bluetooth audio streaming through the Engineering Menu. You can also enable heating/cooling displays on the COMAND screen. There is a wealth of other information, some of which is interesting and some of which is useful if you are technically minded. For instance, I have been able to see some trouble codes that have been logged which may explain why my system loses audio sporadically (it may be temperature related).
On a 2012 C class loaner I was able to change the clock display style to a different one but other than that, nothing terribly interesting other than some Internet connectivity settings that I was not able to figure out.
You can go into these modes and scroll around without changing anything if you're curious. If you do decide to change things, make sure you have some idea of what you're doing and what the original value was. I've noticed that changes tend not to take effect unless you perform a reset rather than just exiting the menu.
The Service Menu/Dyno Mode is obviously more useful if you intend to dyno test your car on a rig.

Not sure what year your car is, but you should take a look at this thread regarding BT audio: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-c...10-models.html

For 2012, you shouldn't need to do anything since it was a standard feature. Not sure about 2011.
