2010 E350 headlight out. Nothing fixes it. Ideas?
My left low beam went out on my 2010 E350 coupe. I changed the bulb and check the fuse under the hood. The light still does not work.
I'm out of ideas. Hate to take it to the dealer and sit there all day and get a big bill for something simple.
Anyone?

Welcome to the forum.
Since no one else more knowledgeable than I has responded, I'll give you a couple of thoughts.
Generally speaking, a bulb that won't light is caused either by a short circuit, an open circuit or a bad bulb.
Since you say the fuse is intact, I would tend to rule out a short circuit.
Are you sure the replacement bulb is a good bulb?
If you 're sure the new bulb is good, then you may have an open circuit. If that's the case, once traced and repaired even the old bulb may again work.
Open circuits can be caused by a variety of things, such as a poor ground connection, a loose wire, a bad plug contact, a bad bulb socket, etc.
So, either you yourself are going to have to troubleshoot the circuit with the right equipment or or you will have to pay someone who has the equipment to do it.
The increasing use of on-board computer-controlled electronics in our cars adds an additional level of complexity that may - or may not - have a bearing on your problem. I think error codes would indicate if that were the case.
Perhaps someone else here who has experienced the problem can help more than these vague, general responses.
Good luck and please let us know the outcome.

One of the headlights (Xenon) of my w209 failed last year. I replaced the bulb and it still did not work. I ended up in the dealership and replaced the control unit.
The diagnosis was simple. They tested it with another working control unit.

I had a side Marker light out and when I replaced it it still wouldn't light up. Turns out I had to cycle the key on and off because the computer cut the power to that light when it blew. Maybe you have the same issue.
