Couple of possibilities:

1. They were lowering their vehicles a lot. The minimum drop for the KW KV1 coilovers is .8 in. front, .6 in rear but most dial them in to the max (1.8").

2. The suspension geometries of the AMG and other vehicles are likely different and therefore cannot be directly compared to the C207. If the angle of the stut is different, it could affect fitment.

3. Wheel fitment availability. Yes, I know this wouldn't apply to custom forged wheels. But I wasn't prepared to shell out 6k for a nice set of HREs and I'm sure others aren't, either. I searched forever for the right fitment and still don't have the look I really want. But performance/fitment were MY biggest concern. Maybe they decided the look was more important.

I'm sure there are other possible reasons, but that's all I can think of right now.

Ya. That must be it. They're all very low to the point that none could install Michelin Pilot PS2 or Supersports (due to square shoulder) that they realy wanted.

Need to say that people have big wheels/tyres here.

Just got my Brabus Monoblock Q-wheels. Sizes are 19x8.5 ET50 and 19x9.5 ET50, also have 5mm and 10mm Brabus-spacers.

What you think wich is better size for tyres, 235/35 and 265/30 or 245/35 and 275/30?
Brabus recommend front 235/35 ET40 and rear 265(/275)/30 ET45/50 but does it big difference if I use 245 in front..? And if I use 245 front so 275 is better rear?

First post here been lurking for awhile. Just got my new 13 350 coupe last Tuesday. I will post pictures of it in the next couple of weeks. It is Magno Cashmere White with the Designo Black and White interior. Beautiful car!!

Anyways onto my wheel question. I have been looking through the threads and even talked with the SM at my dealership but can not get a good answer. The wheels I am looking at are 20X10 with et45. Will this work on the front and rear? I thought it might be too wide for the front. If the 20X10 works in the front would a 235/35 be too narrow??

10" wide wheels are only for the rear. 9" is the maximum front wheel width.

Also, ET45 might not fit with 235/35-20" tires. They could rub the front strut. I think most of the guys with that fitment are running ET35 wheels.

If you put your 5mm spacers on the rear, 10mm spacers on the front, you could run the same setup as I am. 255/35 front and 285/30 rear.

That´s the way that I planning.
8.5x19 ET50 (and 10mm spacers) and 9.5x19 ET50 (and 5mm spacers).

But I think that 255+285 is little bit too much.

My options are 235/35 front and 265/30 rear or 245/35 and 275/30 rear. Just now I think is there somekind of big difference on driving..?

Month ago I saw E-Coupe with Brabus styling and wheels. Wheels were same like my wheels, 19 inch Brabus Monoblock Q and running in size 245/35 + 275/30, but I don´t know about ET-numbers in that car.

Highlighted above, is the best 19" tire choice for your engined car.

Ok, thanks.

Just now I have time to make order from tyres, because winter coming and I use 18 AMG wheels with Nokia Hakkapeliitta 7 winter-tyres.

Huh?!?!?!?

It all depends on driving style, and I believe that threeMBs is probably right. But if you are a "spirited" driver like me, then you're looking for as much traction as possible.

Just remember to get some longer lug bolts with those 10mm spacers, and I'd still recommend 5mm extended bolts on the front.

I think that in E-Coupe 350CDI 245+275 is better than 255+285. Maybe with E500, but not with diesel.

Brabus delivered right bolts in same packet with spacers. Different bolts to front than rear.

Did they account for the spacers? Have you measured them against the stock bolts?

Yeah. Just now the wheels, spacers and bolts are in another place, so I can´t send the picture, but spacers fitting perfectly and those locked with small screw. Bolts are intended to use with those spacers. So if I don´t use those spacers, I can´t use those bolts (that´s what I think).

If you haven,t yet ordered the tires i can make you a close shot with my set up,i am running 245/35 front and 265/30 rear, so that you can see the fitment on the wheel. My opinion anyhow is that the perfect fitment for your wheels is 235/35 and 265/30.I am running 245/35 in the front because in my country the roads are very bad and a wider tire on the front will protect my wheels.

Not yet. Today we got some snow, so my Q-wheels need to wait something like four-five months.. so I have good time to plan right tyres.
